Emily's Little Blue Prankster
John is the tiniest member of my creative team — and Paul's little brother (well, I decided he is). He's smaller and bluer, and he showed up one afternoon hiding inside the blue crayon box.
He follows Paul around everywhere, but when he gets bored — watch out. John is a prankster. He pushes crayons off the desk when I'm not looking. He hides inside the paint water cup so it looks like it turned blue by itself. One time he sat on top of the glue stick and I couldn't find it for a whole hour.
His best prank so far: he moved all my colored pencils one spot to the left. I kept grabbing the wrong color and couldn't figure out why. John was watching from behind the sharpener the whole time.
He only has one antenna now. The other one broke off when he tried to squeeze into the pencil sharpener hole to hide from Lulu. I heard a tiny *snap* and found him looking confused with half an antenna on the floor. I told him it makes him look tough. He seemed okay with that.
John is quieter than Paul, but his one antenna wiggles twice as fast when he's plotting something. That's how you know a prank is coming — but by then it's usually too late.
I still love John for that.
